A group of Wolf Point residents accused of abducting a 17-year-old girl were arraigned in federal court.

Patti Jo Annunciata Mail, (aka Ironcloud,) 23, Kaylee Jade Jackson, 21, Elmarie Amelia Weeks (Adams), 21, and Cheri (male) Cruz Granbois, 20, appeared in Great Falls Federal Court. All were charged with kidnapping of an individual under 18-years-old.

In addition, Jackson, Weeks, and Granbois were charged with assault resulting in serious bodily injury and assault resulting in substantial bodily injury to a minor.

If convicted of the most serious charge, the punishment is a minimum mandatory of 20 years to life in prison, a $250,000 fine and five years to a lifetime of supervised release. All of them were remanded into custody pending further proceedings.

All defendants are alleged to have kidnapped a minor girl from her home in Wolf Point.

The victim was taken into the country and left their by her abductors, Tribal Criminal Investigator Kenny Trottier said.

“They forced her to walk back,” he said.

Trottier said the case is still pending.
