Filing fees to run for Tribal public office increased this year.

Officially, tribal members have been able to file to run for office since January 2023. The election is scheduled for the last Saturday in October.

Potential Vice Chairman candidate fees are $426.19.

Fees to run for Tribal Chairman are $450.42.

The largest increase in fees are with Tribal Judge candidates.

Chief Judge candidates will now pay $499.10, and Associate Judge fees are $443.46.

A three percent cost of living increase was approved by the Tribes in response to inflation (a rise in prices due to the decline of purchasing power over time).
